So far all everyone is saying is "get X item and that fixs that" That shouldn't be how the game should be played and it shouldn't have to be used as a work around. And getting and staying in the I think 3 degree arc that doesn't get hit by EVERY attack. Dagger rogues while there skills are 'flashy' are exteremly squishy, and the fact that evading and getting out of the way of bosses that do alot of AOE, which seems to be EVERYBOSS. It was fun it was flashy.ĭA:I And honestly Melee is a chore. I even did a run where My Hawke and Isabella was ruling the battlefield after getting the first spec skills. DuelWeild Dragon age Origins was fun not really that flashy but Origins wasn't all that flashy expect for the mages.ĭA2 Dagger rogues where fun as hell. Nothing like being a healbot bubble disc priest that three clicks their grid addon the entire fight.I have to seriously wonder if this is more to a Mouse Keyboard issues.īut so far as it goes. Do all that, keeping your constantly dodging tank in your sights while you're dodging the same attacks and telegraphs as everyone else and healing is very very active. But your heals don't mean anything if you blow a cool down for a massive heal on an almost dead tank if you didn't aim properly. Some classes have a narrow and long range heals, some are bigger but shorter ranges, some even have AoE heals that need to be properly placed or no one will be able to use them. Just as a DPS has to line up their shots a healer has to line up their heals on the tank and anyone else who needs it. Heck, you'll even need to learn who to lead some bad guys while on the move so that when your ability goes off they're in your sights.
You'll also need to attempt coordinating interrupts on the boss, kiting them, as well as a bunch of other fight mechanics I'm not going to list (something has to be a surprise when you get there!)Ī ranged DPS may have an easier time since they'll have a bit more warning that something is coming, but you've still got to manage your own shots and aim them properly since as the tank moves to get out of the way the bad guy will follow it, which will require you to adjust your shots.
If you're a tank and up close, that means a lot of movement and active dodging and dashing since you will have the least amount of time to get out of the way. You see, the bad guys put telegraphs onto the ground that you have to stay out of. Yeah, it's kind of difficult in Wildstar to be the mage or warlock in the back of the pack facerolling your way though half a dozen keys while watching the latest Youtube Fail compilation video that tricked you to click on it because of the gratuitous cleavage or boob shot it used for it's thumbnail.
